Blog Ideas for Photographers that will help with SEO and book clients

I’m excited to help with blog ideas for photographers that will help with SEO and book clientsYou may be asking why I’m talking about writing this blog as a Pinterest expert, but blogs are so important when you are marketing your business on Pinterest. Pinterest is an amazing and easy way to spread your information and build a strong online presence both of which are key to generating leads and finding new clients.

Many of my Photography Pinterest Management clients struggle to know what to blog about, so I thought I would share ideas that I’ve given to them to help you start blogging or blogging more.  I hope you get inspired and start blogging today!

Blog about your photography sessions

I know this is obvious, however so many photographers just throw images on a blog and call it a day.  Instead, you’ll need to write about the session so that all of your important keywords get shared to ensure that Google shares it.

In this blog, you should share your client.

Here are a few ideas:

  • If you are a wedding photographer, you can add some questions to your questionnaire that you use to create a timeline.  I ask how the couple met, what their most memorable date was, where and how they got engaged, and what they love to do together.  These answers make a fantastic blog post.
  • If you are a branding photographer, you can feature your client, their business, and what they do.  Include a link to their website which is helpful for SEO
  • If you’re a family photographer, you can ask questions on a questionnaire or ensure you make notes right after your session about the family you photograph.  Talk about how long you’ve been photographing them, talk about how important it is to take family photos for memories and for generations to look back on those photos.

Answer Questions

Anytime you get questions from your clients or potential clients, make sure to write those down as you can create blog posts about those questions.

Once you write several blogs from that information, you can also include FAQs with links to the blog posts on your website, and you can also have those faqs in email confirmations when a client books.

All this work will also keep people on your website longer which makes Google happy!

Blog Ideas for Photographers that will help with SEO and book clients<br />

Write about things you wish your clients would do

This one is easy, helpful, and effective!

If you want to have more time for the timeline, write about the benefits of having more time or if you want families to show up early, talk about the benefits of being early for family shoots.

Giving advice on what you want your clients to do means that you will be doing effective marketing and help them to do what helps you excel.

Tips for Clients

This one is fun! You can share tips that your ideal client will be searching for on Google.

Here are some ideas:

  • Prop ideas to bring to branding or family sessions.
  • Bringing dogs to family portraits, engagement sessions, or weddings
  • Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer family, branding, engagement sessions, or weddings can be super helpful and things your ideal client will be searching for on Google.
  • Why and how to display your photographs.
  • Favorite photo locations or wedding venues and why you love them.
  • How to Choose a Professional Photographer for (insert your type of photography)
  • How to Always Look Fantastic in Photos
  • Creative Gender Reveal Photoshoot Ideas
  • Tips for Surprise Proposals
  • Tips for Photographing Your Kids
  • Tips for Stress-Free Photos of Your Children
  • Style Tips for Your Photo Session
  • Four Photo Craft Projects Your Kids Will Love
  • Alternatives to Boring School Photos
  • Mini Session vs. Hourly Photography
  • How to Look Thinner in Photos

Summary

So there you have it! Four great blog ideas for photographers that will help with SEO and book more clients.

If you’re not blogging yet, you should definitely start. Not only is it a great way to show off your work, but it also helps potential clients learn more about you and what you offer.

5 Steps to Effectively Marketing Your Photography Business

Steps to Effectively Marketing Your Photography Business by Jen vazquez Media Pinterest Management

Finding your ideal client is key to a successful photography business. When you know who you want to work with, the marketing process becomes much easier. You can target that person specifically and make sure your messaging is on point. In this blog post, we will discuss how to find your ideal client and book them easily!

Step 1: Who do you really want to work with?

To start, sit down and think about who you want to work with. What kind of clients do you enjoy working with? What are their interests? What is their budget? Once you have a good idea of the type of client you want to work with, you can start marketing to them specifically.

Step 2: Know your ideal client’s needs

Next, you want to understand what your ideal client’s needs are. What are they looking for in a photographer? What kind of experience do they want? understanding their needs will help you create a better overall experience for them and make sure they are happy with the results.

Steps to Effectively Marketing Your Photography Business by Jen vazquez Media Pinterest Management

Step 3: Create a marketing plan

Knowing who your ideal client is and what they are looking for now, you can create a marketing plan that is specifically tailored to them.

To tailor your marketing plan to your ideal client’s needs, start by understanding who they are. What do you know about them?  What are their frustrations, questions, or aspirations?

Consider planning a month or a quarter at a time.  List out all blog titles for each week considering all the data you have about your ideal client and create a blog, podcast, or Youtube video each week.  That’s your marketing plan.

Step 4: Create a Quarterly Marketing

Every quarter, create a marketing plan that you will faithfully execute consistently. This will help you keep moving forward and something to look at when in doubt of what to do next.

Step 5: Start Marketing — Analyze, Rinse and Repeat

Since you now know who your ideal client is, it’s time to start marketing to them. Try different methods and see what works best. Maybe you’ll discover how effective Pinterest is (because it is!), market on Instagram and/or TikTok, then try LinkedIn and make sure you are blogging and have an email list.

As you start marketing in these different ways and on social media platforms, analyze how well it went. How many outbound clicks on Pinterest or clicks to your bio link on Instagram as examples? Did you have more traffic to your website with blogging? How many clicks, replies or other actions did you get?

Ensure you give consistent marketing time though. Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn all are quick to see what happens. Blogging, emailing and Pinterest takes longer like 3-6 months to see results.

Then plan for the next quarter on what you’ll focus on and test. Testing helps you to identify what specifically people like

Step 6: Focus on excellent service and client journey

Even if you have the best marketing in the world, it won’t mean anything if your service is poor. Make sure you are providing an excellent experience to your clients from start to finish. This includes everything from communication to the actual photoshoot itself.

The client journey doesn’t end when the photoshoot is over either. You still need to deliver the final product and follow up with your clients. This is where you can really solidify yourself as a photographer that cares about their clients and not just getting the sale.

Conclusion

Finding your ideal client is essential to running a successful photography business. When you know who you want to work with, the marketing process becomes much easier. You can target that person specifically and make sure your messaging is on point.

By following the steps above, you will be well on your way to finding and booking your ideal clients easily!

Three ways to do keyword research on Pinterest THE LAST ONE IS MY FAVORITE

pinterest pin with 3 Ways to do keyword research on Pinterest THE LAST ONE IS MY FAVORITE

3 ways to do keyword research on Pinterest THE LAST ONE IS MY FAVORITE

Here are the best ways to do keyword research on Pinterest!

Do you need help with keyword research on Pinterest? Today we will talk about the best ways to do keyword research on Pinterest. Pinterest is a visual search engine, and using keywords is essential for getting your content in front of the right people.

How often do you need to do keyword research on Pinterest?

If you have your content pillars set up and your content is all related to a niche audience and a few content pillar topics, then you can create a keyword bank document and just add to it as needed. If your account is new, keyword research is essential for your Pinterest profile optimization and board optimization.

However, if you write about a new topic, you might want to do additional keyword research that is more specific to the content for writing an optimized pin description.

So here are the three ways to do keyword research on Pinterest and the last one is my New Favorite!

Manual Research

The first method for doing keyword research is using the Pinterest search bar directly and seeing what drops down. Start typing keywords and see what shows up in the drop-down menu. Write down or note any keywords or keyword phrases that will be relevant to your audience and content.

You can also do the alphabet soup method for additional recommendations. For example, if you are a wedding photographer and write about wedding photography, type ‘wedding photography a’ to see what auto-completes, then type ‘wedding photography b’ and continue through the whole alphabet. The downside to this method is that super time-consuming as you are doing things manually.

Pinterest Trends Tool

The Pinterest Trends Tool is an excellent tool for seeing how your keywords are currently trending on Pinterest and if there are any other relevant trending keywords you can use.

Combine this tool with the manual type of research to figure out great keywords to use. You can also use this tool to determine the best time of year for some keywords.

Pin Inspector

The Pin Inspector software is a powerful app that has six amazing features to help you find keywords and so much more. This app has a keyword generator, a trends generator, a pin analyzer, a browse, and scrape tool, a boards analyzer, and a pinner analyzer. They are all amazing tools, but what I use the most to help me determine what the best keywords are for my clients is the keyword generator.

The keyword generator does all the work for you that you would do in a manual search, including the alphabet soup method. All you have to do is enter a keyword or phrase, hit enter, and wait for the magic to reveal all the words you could possibly want and need. Pin Inspector also has a trends tool based on the Pinterest Trends Tool.

Pin Inspector has so much to offer and the price is amazing! Normally $67, you can get this powerful tool now for only $47 with the code PIN20.

Conclusion

There is a reason why all of these methods are specific to Pinterest. Pinterest is its own search engine, which is why it’s important to do your research on Pinterest not google or use the Pin Inspector software. How pinners search for things can be entirely different than how people search Google.

I hope that these tips and tools will help you grow your Pinterest account and bring more traffic to your website. Which tool will you try?

Just a Note: This link contains an affiliate link (down in the P.S. ). If you use it to make a purchase, I’ll receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for supporting my business!
