Here are some tips when you are going to go live. These tips will help you to get the best return of engagement so that you can sell more products or services to clients and potential clients.
- 1. Tell fans when you’re broadcasting ahead of time.
- If you know the next time you’ll be on, let them know that so that people can tune in. You can use Events in FB to allow them to say they are going and to ask for notification.
- Go live when you have a strong connection
- Check your wifi signal to ensure that when you go live, the video will record and replay looking nice and not choppy. If not a wifi connection, then you’ll want a 4G connection. If you have weak signal, the ‘Go Live’ button will be grayed out.
- Write a caption that will catch the attention of your ideal client
- The caption should also be specific so that they know what they will be choosing to watch.
- Ask viewers to subscribe to the lives so they catch you the next live
- Remind your audience that they can tap on the Follow button on live videos and videos that were live so that they can get notifications the next time you go live.
- Say hello to people that pop on during the live by their name
- Hearing your own name is powerful and your viewers will be thrilled to hear you mention their name and answer their questions when you are live.
- Signal that you are finishing
- To signal the end, tell them thank you for catching you live and let them know when you’ll be on next (next week, next day, etc). After you’ve wrapped up, keep smiling while you wait a few seconds until you hear the “ping” indicating your broadcast is complete.
- FB lives that do well most often are between 1-5 minutes.
- Unless you have a masterclass or education, keep your lives short and sweet so that people listen all the way through. Stats show that the longer people stay on, the more engagement your video will get.
